Drivers Auto Repair is the definition of BAIT AND SWITCH!!!! I recently took my dodge 3500 truck in for repair. After a $300 charge of diagnostic work they said it was 2 fuel injectors that needed to be replaced and the fee was going to be $3,000. (which I have since found out that should have been the cost to replace all fuel injectors) which I unluckily agreed to. I received a text from Drivers Auto Repair on Oct. 19th at 2:05 pm. "The quality repair and checks went well! We have completed the necessary services on your vehicle and it is now ready for pickup." I go with my mother to pick up the vehicle. She was driving the vehicle home, as she is following me home the vehicle completely died turning through the intersection on college park leaving Drivers Auto Repair where she was almost T- boned by another driver. She was able to start it again and coast into a parking lot. Drivers auto apologized and came to pick up the truck. This could have been a very deadly situation with my mother driving an unsafe vehicle which obviously was not repaired but was in worse condition than when we brought it in!!! A week later they said all fuel injectors now have to be replaced for an additional $7,000!!!!!! I told them to deliver my vehicle immediately back to me and we will no longer do business with them. Their technician that delivered it back said it died on him numerous times trying to get the vehicle returned and apologized. Since then, I have had my vehicle fixed. It had nothing to do with the fuel injectors. It was the fuel pump sensor which cost me $40.00 and they changed the oil and filters and now it is running like a charm. It was NEVER the fuel injectors!! We have lodged our complaints with the Better Business Bureau, consumer protection and the State Attorney Generals office in hopes this will prevent this kind of fraud and shady business practice effecting other people in the future.
