Never going to this location again as of today even though I already paid for oil change cards (don't do it ). Today is 7 May 2016. Very bad experience on 2 state inspections. Long term customer, spent a lot of money. If company cares, look me up in your system and call me for details. I won't spend my time trying to call you and talking to someone in charge. Found another place for service.

I've been going to this place for almost 10 years. What is going on, did the management change. Call in to have my oil and spark plug change, made an appointment for 7:00 Saturday morning ( 6:45 ). Waited out side till 7:00 because that when he had unlock the door. It was just Eric their no tech. He had a hard time finding me in the system and ask was this the first time coming their. Fun because I had handed him my 6 pack oil change card and also talk to him Wednesday to make the appointment. Now 2 1/2 hour later I had to go out and as for the status Eric just looks up and says almost done, 2 hour on the rack in the air on one around it but yet almost done. Well the only good thing about this is that I only have one oil change on the card. I will find someone else.

People beware of this business. My experience with this repair shop was a huge disappointment and I won’t be going back and certainly do not recommend this place to anyone especially if trust is important to you. Took my truck in for a $30 starting/charging system diagnosis because I was having problems starting my truck. First diagnosis was that I had a weak battery and it needed to be replaced. I agreed to replace it ($160) which took 1 ½ hours because they didn’t have a battery onsite. After a “new” battery was brought in and installed, they completed the rest of the testing and then told me I had a bad starter which needed to be replaced. They offered to do it initially for ~$600 … I said “no”, then ~$500 … I said “no”, then they had a payment plan to offer me …I said “no”, then they tried one more attempt by telling me my car might not make it off the lot. After several minutes of telling them I wasn’t going to make the $600 repair, I had lost confidence that I was being dealt with honestly. I took the truck to 2 other shops (one being the car dealer) where I got confirmation of 2 things … 1) the “new” battery kept failing its load test and seemed to be draining itself and 2) THE STARTER WAS FINE. Obviously, I didn’t want Driver’s Auto Repair to service my car again knowing that I felt pressured to buy a $600 starter that I did NOT need. I took the battery back to them but they wouldn’t refund my money only stating that it was a warranty issue. I would expect them to stand behind their products and give me a refund for a problem battery that was sold to me directly “off the shelf”.

PLEASE AVOID THIS PLACE AT ALL COSTS!!!! I took my car for a starter replacement estimate. Without my authorization they took the liberty to work on it and ended up giving me a bill of 500. I spoke to Alex and ask him why was he charging me so much, he said that the he had bought the starter for 360 plus labor. I called Auto Zone and they had the part for 80. I also called other mechanic shops to see how much they would charge for labor, most of them said it would cost from 60-130. Lets say I would have taken it to the shop that charges130+80 from Auto Zone 190 total. These people from Auto Repair are a total joke! Save yourself a head ache and avoid this place! Places like Auto Repair should get shut down!

Typical thieves! They charged me $570 to replace 4 $16 spark plugs with a $180 fuel system cleanup, which you can get at Walmart auto center for $30, as I learned later. The original quote was $1,600, because Alex (manager) alluded that the "coils" needed to be replaced, at a cost of $200+ each. I declined the coils, but when I picked up the vehicle, he told me that he had replaced 2 of them "at no charge" ... How generous, right?

Poorly managed and SCAM the customers. I was told that my radiator needs to be replaced... but my dealer says it is totally fine. After that I cancel the radiator service, I was charged a restocking fee 20% for the radiator I didn't need the first place and wasn't given any refund for the radiator they never placed in my car. I went back to the store a few times and left 5 voice mails at their "customer care" line... it has been 3 months... no response to date. I disputed the charge with my credit card company and now filed a suit for this with the small claims court. This place can't be trusted and it is the worst experience I have had for the 25 years I have been in the States. It is a shame that they don't take care of their customers and are dishonest. RUN!

good service

I had the full system flush and spark plug change out at 90k miles at suggestion of They as part of oil change and tire rotate. I was told fluids looked dirty. After agreeing to work and getting car back, I checked records and found I had a similar service (w/o spark plug change) at 60k miles. My fault for not checking my records (in glove box), but strong sales push by They made it sound like service was required. I'll know better next time. Waste of $1000

AVOID LIKE THE PLAGUE. I came in just for a state inspection, expecting to pay around $20-$25 max. After "inspecting" my car, the mechanics said there were multiple things in need of repair, and gave me a bill for nearly $1800!!! On top of this, they said the car wouldn't pass state inspection until the expensive work was done. They even tried to fast talk me into enrolling into an installment plan to pay it off. I knew this amount couldn't possibly be right, so I had them cancel the work. I took the car to the dealership where it was originally purchased and had them perform the state inspection instead. The bill came to $25 and the car passed inspection. The dealership only found minor problems with the car, and nothing that warranted the $1800 worth of work that I was charged initially by Driver's Auto Repair. They didn't even find $400 worth of potential work at the dealership! Long story short: This Driver's Auto Repair is dishonest, and will charge you and arm and a leg for parts you don't need.
